I spoke with the owner - they bake all their desserts, bread, make sandwiches, using their freshly baked bread, and cook soups daily/nightly at their bakery and bring it over to the store twice/day. The prices are very affordable, especially for the Yaletown :) I had lunch combo for under $10. I've also ordered Chocolate Truffle cake for my Birthday - it was heavenly.
