<p>After you <a href="http://www.elections.bc.ca/">vote</a>, consider heading down to the <a href="http://www.jccgv.com/">JCCGV</a> at <strong>7:30pm</strong> (which is open to all, regardless of faith) and enjoy a lively evening of style and entertainment hosted by <a href="http://www.citytv.com/vancouver/tvshows_66399.aspx">Citytv’s Lunch Television</a> personalities <a href="http://www.citytv.com/vancouver/personalities_kyledonaldson.aspx">Kyle Donaldson</a> and <a href="http://www.citytv.com/vancouver/personalities_66649.aspx">Michel McDermott</a>.</p>
<p>The fashions presented at THELOOK09 are by local designers and fashion boutiques <a href="http://www.julesandeve.com/">Jules &amp; Eve</a> and <a href="http://www.fabclothing.com/">FAB Clothing</a>, and the hair and makeup artistry is by <a href="http://www.blanchemacdonald.com/">Blanche MacDonald</a>.</p>
<p>This fashion show is a fundraising event for the <a href="http://www.jccgv.com/teen/teen.htm">JCC Teen Lounge</a>, making it a great way to show your support for youth in our community:</p>
<blockquote><p>The JCC teen lounge provides a place for teens to learn skills through sports, leadership programs, afterschool care, fitness and community partnering programs.  Most importantly, it is a safe place with responsible young adults that get to know each teen by name and act as a sounding board without judgment.  It works as a gathering place for fun and mentoring.  Building teens holistic health is what the youth department does best.</p></blockquote>

<p>I am using a <a href="http://www.canon.ca/english/index-products.asp?lng=en&amp;prodid=775&amp;sgid=23&amp;gid=2&amp;ovr=1">Canon Digital Rebel XT</a> which I purchased at Future Shop, an electronics and computer games store in downtown Vancouver. <strong>Future Shop </strong>(<a href="http://www.futureshop.ca/FSStoreLocator/StoreHours.asp?prov=British+Columbia&amp;city=Vancouver&amp;logon=&amp;langid=EN">web site</a>, <a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;q=798+Granville+St,+Vancouver,+British+Columbia,+Canada&amp;sll=37.0625,-95.677068&amp;sspn=49.484329,101.425781&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;ll=49.284464,-123.119788&amp;spn=0.010022,0.024762&amp;z=15&amp;iwloc=addr">map</a>, 798 Granville St, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, phone: (604) 683-2502) is located at Granville and Robson, which is quite close to the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Granville_Station_(Vancouver)">Granville Skytrain station</a>.</p>
<p>The pictures were taken near the <strong>Miro Building</strong> (<a href="http://www.mirovancouver.com/">web site</a>) at 1001 Richards Street in downtown Vancouver. The Miro, built in 2004, is a concrete condominium tower on the edge of Yaletown containing upscale condos with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. There are currently 8 units for sale in the Miro Building, ranging from $312,000 for a 517 square foot one bedroom, to $719,800 for a 926 square foot Penthouse unit.
