THELOOK09 - Vancouver Fashion Show<\/p><\/div>\n

THELOOK09 Youth Fashion Show<\/strong> (web site<\/a>, map<\/a>) is a fashion show hosted by the Jewish Community Centre<\/a> of Greater Vancouver on Tuesday, May 12 2009<\/strong> (the same night as the BC Provincial Election<\/a>).<\/p>\n

After you vote<\/a>, consider heading down to the JCCGV<\/a> at 7:30pm<\/strong> (which is open to all, regardless of faith) and enjoy a lively evening of style and entertainment hosted by Citytv\u2019s Lunch Television<\/a> personalities Kyle Donaldson<\/a> and Michel McDermott<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The fashions presented at THELOOK09 are by local designers and fashion boutiques Jules & Eve<\/a> and FAB Clothing<\/a>, and the hair and makeup artistry is by Blanche MacDonald<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This fashion show is a fundraising event for the JCC Teen Lounge<\/a>, making it a great way to show your support for youth in our community:<\/p>\n

The JCC teen lounge provides a place for teens to learn skills through sports, leadership programs, afterschool care, fitness and community partnering programs.\u00a0 Most importantly, it is a safe place with responsible young adults that get to know each teen by name and act as a sounding board without judgment.\u00a0 It works as a gathering place for fun and mentoring.\u00a0 Building teens holistic health is what the youth department does best.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Food for the volunteers and models is provided by local grocery stores Choices Markets<\/a>, Capers Whole Foods Market<\/a>, and Canada Safeway Limited<\/a> – Oakridge Centre<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Create a 30 second video blog<\/strong> answering the question “What does living a healthy lifestyle mean to you?\u201d and upload it to Youtube, you’ll get a chance to win two VIP Passes to the fashion show, and have the opportunity to meet some of Vancouver’s top fashion designers, TV personalities, and other people like yourself who are interested in fashion and healthy living.<\/p>\n
