Buffet - Vancouver Restaurants

Tomokazu Japanese Restaurant (Video)

Tomokazu Japanese Restaurant (map, 201-1128 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC, Canada, phone 604-677-0426) is one of my favorite restaurants in Vancouver for “all you can eat” sushi. A couple of weeks ago I went there with my family (after running in the UBC triathlon) and we enjoyed a big feast. Price was around $22 per person. I made a video of the dishes which you can view at blip.tv, Youtube, or by using the player below.

For more photos please view Part 3, Part 2, or Part 1.

New India Buffet & Restaurant

New India Buffet & Restaurant (map, visitor reviews, 805 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC, Canada, phone 604-874-5800) offers buffet-style Indian dining with great views of downtown Vancouver and a large patio.

Price for dinner buffet (all you can eat) is very reasonable (around $12.95), and the buffet has a good selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian items (some pictured below). In the evenings, there is free parking underground off Willow Street.

agentdenver, a reviewer on DineHere.ca writes (click here to read review):

It’s winter and you want to take your special someone out for a romantic Indian buffet. Where would you go that has the most variety of food, good tasting curry ,and great view of the heart of Vancouver? New India.

As soon as you walk into the building, you can smell the spice. At winter time, they have their famous lamb curry.

Update: Dec. 23, 2008 – I added a new Youtube video of the lunch buffet which you can view by clicking here or use the player below.

Shabusen Japanese Restaurant on Burrard (Part 2)

I made another visit to the popular Japanese restaurant Shabusen (map, web site, 755 Burrard Street, Unit 202, Vancouver, BC, Canada, phone: 604-669-3883) and enjoyed a sushi buffet dinner. Reservations are a must at this restaurant, as people who did not have a reservation were waiting 45 minutes for a table!

Not only does the restaurant serve a great selection of tasty Japanese sushi, but also included in the price is all-you-can-eat Korean Barbecue that you cook at a grill at your table. Price per person at dinner time (for the all-you-can-eat sushi and BBQ) is $21.95 before tax and tip. Lunch prices are cheaper, around $13.50.

For more photos and info please view Part 1.
