Rosie’s on Robson

Rosie’s on Robson (298 Robson Street, Vancouver, BC, Canada, phone: 604-689-4499) is a comfortable British-style pub/restaurant located in the heart of Vancouver’s downtown entertainment district, close to GM Place Stadium, BC Place Stadium, and the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Daily specials include comfort food such as steak and ale pie, honey glazed pork chops ($14.95, pictured below), and the fried chicken sandwich. They also serve a very delicious Yorkshire Pudding that is stuffed with roast beef and mashed potatoes.

I’ve been here a few times before. The most recent time, I took my parents. I ordered the Yorkshire pudding with roast beef and my parents had the salmon and beef stew. We all agreed that our food was delicious. I want to go back and have more Yorkshire pudding.

Tomokazu Japanese Restaurant (Part 3)

Tomokazu Japanese Restaurant (20-1128 West Broadway, Vancouver, phone 604-677-0426) is my favorite place for all you can eat sushi in Vancouver. The deluxe menu ($22.95 per person) includes many delicious items (some of which are pictured below) that one can usually find only at a-la-carte Japanese restaurants. For more photos please visit Part 2 and Part 1.

Khai Thai Cuisine (Downtown)

Khai Thai Cuisine (809 Seymour Street, Vancouver, BC, Canada, phone: 604-682-7000) is a nicely decorated, airy room with skylights, and a layout of tables and cozy nooks in which to enjoy a relaxing Thai meal.

Located conveniently in the heart of downtown Vancouver near hotels such as the Vancouver Westin Grand, as well as the Vancouver Public Library, Khai Thai Cuisine has affordable lunch time specials, with a variety of choices of curries and other Thai dishes such as the Pad Thai.

The combinations are $9.95 at lunch, and come with a green salad (pictured below), rice, deep fried spring roll, and a main course such as the Penang Curry with Chicken (also pictured below). I found the service was excellent and the flavors of the curry were so good that I finished every last spoonful!
